Whoohoo!
My friend Promise Tangeman recently gathered a group of 20 different artists from around the country to collaborate on an online art project for A Beautiful Idea. The results are incredible, and I’m so excited to have such amazing contributions from so many talented, creative people.

The artists all created their depiction of the words and phrases: Art for the greater good, Haiti, helping, serving, creativity, love wins, people, compassion, humble, humility all while using only 4 specific colors. After all submissions were received Promise compiled all of the artwork together in a collage style to be sold. Some artists even went as far as to create other products with these final prints – postcards, magnets, greeting cards, etc.

Check out Promise’s blog for individual artists’ work and descriptions. You can view all the participants and see some featured products here. Please support this amazing effort by purchasing the art and telling others! As usual 100% of the sale of these items go to support our current charity, World Vision.
Thank you to Promise and all the artists who got involved!
I received this letter recently from World Vision and I thought it would be great to share where and how our donations our being used in Haiti. It’s so awesome to see artists band together to make a difference for a cause like this!

It’s been three months since Haiti’s 7.0-magnitude earthquake. The tragedy of January 12 was unlike any natural disaster ever to hit the Western Hemisphere.
Even in the midst of unprecedented devastation, we have reason to be thankful: partners like you are standing by the people of Haiti, giving generously to support World Vision’s ongoing relief efforts.
Your gifts are bringing health and hope to children like Sendie, 4, who was treated for a dangerous waterborne illness at one of our 13 health clinics in Port-au-Prince.
And 6-year-old Josephine, who plays with other children at one of World Vision’s 19 Child-Friendly Spaces. These centers, operated by caring World Vision staff, give children a chance to be children — to play, learn, and heal from emotional trauma.
Thank you for enabling World Vision to provide life-saving assistance to more than a million people in Haiti. With your gifts, we are caring for the injured, sheltering the homeless, and feeding the hungry.
World Vision has been in Haiti for more than 30 years. We know the people and the potential of this place — and we believe in Haiti’s future. Our response
I invite you to read our 3-month update on the ongoing relief efforts, and I hope you’ll continue to stand with us as we help build a brighter future for the children of Haiti.
God bless,
Rich Stearns

A Beautiful Idea is off to a great start, thanks to the many artists that have signed up and are already participating, and selling items in their shop to raise money for Haiti!
Our first donation was $44 to World Vision and the ongoing support for the people of Haiti. I’m so excited, and this is just the beginning!
Here is the impact:
Your gift now will help distribute life-saving food, medicines, and family survival kits — including clean water, blankets, cooking supplies, and tents — to children and families devastated by the earthquake in Haiti. You will also help World Vision establish Child-Friendly Spaces — safe havens for injured and traumatized children who are at risk of neglect and exploitation.

Great job guys! We are $956 away from our goal of $1000. We can do it!
Thanks to all the people that are blogging, tweeting and retweeting about A Beautiful Idea. Check out what people are saying!
